About The Role

We are seeking AI Training Experts – Climate Science & Carbon Modeling with deep expertise in environmental science and climate data to help improve the performance of AI systems in sustainability research. You will evaluate and provide feedback on AI-generated content related to greenhouse gas emissions, climate models, carbon accounting, and mitigation strategies. Your input will be vital in training AI models that support accurate and responsible climate-related decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Assess AI-generated content on topics such as climate change, carbon emissions, and environmental modeling for scientific accuracy and clarity.
  • Validate outputs related to carbon budgeting, net-zero strategies, and global warming potential metrics.
  • Identify and correct inaccuracies or inconsistencies in AI responses based on current climate science literature.
  • Collaborate with annotation teams to ensure evaluations meet domain-specific and quality assurance guidelines.
  • Apply structured evaluation rubrics to maintain consistency across annotations and reviews.
  • Provide expert-level feedback to improve the reliability of AI systems working in the environmental and sustainability domain.
  • Keep up with the latest findings in IPCC reports, climate models, carbon market mechanisms, and mitigation technologies.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in Advanced AI Data Trainer Mastery from AIDRALabs (Recommended)
  • Familiarity with carbon accounting platforms, LCA tools (Life Cycle Assessment), or environmental modeling software.
  • Prior contributions to climate policy, climate finance, or sustainability impact reporting.
  • 3 or more years of experience in climate science, carbon modeling, environmental research, or a closely related field. Current students actively studying in these disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
  • Solid understanding of GHG inventories, IPCC methodologies, and global sustainability frameworks.
  • Ability to review scientific content for accuracy, bias, and methodological soundness.
  • Experience in data annotation, academic peer review, or environmental research communication.
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
  • English proficiency at B2, C1, C2, or Native level.
