About The Role

We’re hiring AI Training Specialists – French Language & Cultural Context to help train and refine AI models that understand and communicate effectively in French. Your role involves evaluating AI outputs, identifying linguistic errors, improving regional dialect understanding, and guiding cultural relevance across various use cases from chatbots to translation engines and search systems.

This role is ideal for native or fluent French speakers who have a passion for language, communication, and AI. You’ll play a key role in improving how AI systems understand nuance, tone, regional differences, and the unique grammatical structures of the French language by ensuring they align with real-world human communication.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and correct AI-generated French text across multiple domains (customer support, marketing, translation, education, etc.).
  • Annotate linguistic features including grammar, syntax, idioms, formality level, and tone.
  • Provide insight on regional language variations (e.g., European French vs. Canadian/Quebecois or African Francophone dialects).
  • Review prompts and completions for cultural relevance, contextual accuracy, and inclusivity.
  • Assist in disambiguating meaning or identifying misinterpretations in conversational flows.
  • Offer feedback to help AI better differentiate formal and informal registers (tu/vous distinctions).
  • Label or tag data for training language models in alignment, summarization, classification, or translation tasks.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in Advanced AI Data Trainer Mastery from AIDRALabs (Required).
  • Native or fluent proficiency in French (spoken and written).
  • Ability to identify linguistic, grammatical, and stylistic inconsistencies.
  • Basic English comprehension (B1 or higher) to follow project instructions.
  • Strong cultural awareness of at least one Francophone region (France, Quebec, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Belgium, etc.).
  • Comfortable working with text-based tools and following structured annotation guidelines.
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely.
  • Experience in translation, linguistics, language instruction, or content editing.
  • Familiarity with AI or language models (e.g., ChatGPT, DeepL, Google Translate).
