About The Role

We’re hiring AI Training Specialists – Portuguese Language to help train AI systems to understand and generate natural, grammatically sound, and culturally accurate Portuguese content. This role focuses on enhancing the performance of language models in Portuguese, with attention to both Brazilian and European variants.

You’ll be responsible for reviewing, correcting, and annotating AI-generated responses in Portuguese, helping ensure they are regionally appropriate, linguistically accurate, and aligned with formal and informal usage norms. Whether the AI is generating customer service replies, summarizing content, or translating documents your input will be critical in improving clarity, tone, and cultural relevance.

Responsibilities

  • Review AI-generated Portuguese text for grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, and coherence.
  • Annotate content to highlight formal/informal tone distinctions (e.g., você vs. tu, or o senhor/a senhora).
  • Identify regional language variants and ensure appropriate localization (Brazil vs. Portugal).
  • Provide examples, corrections, and contextual clarifications for ambiguous or culturally insensitive outputs.
  • Help the AI improve in use cases such as translation, customer support, education, and casual conversation.
  • Tag data for training tasks related to summarization, rephrasing, tone adjustment, and question answering.
  • Flag linguistic inconsistencies and assist in refining prompts to improve response quality.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in Advanced AI Data Trainer Mastery from AIDRALabs (Required).
  • Native or fluent speaker of Portuguese (Brazilian or European).
  • Strong grasp of grammatical structures, regional vocabulary, and orthographic rules.
  • Good comprehension of English (B1 or higher) to follow task instructions and annotation guidelines.
  • Awareness of cultural norms, humor, and idiomatic expressions specific to your dialect.
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
  • Experience in translation, editing, linguistics, or language instruction.
  • Familiarity with tools like ChatGPT, DeepL, Google Translate, or content moderation platforms.
