About The Role

We’re hiring AI Training Experts – Linguistics & Semantic Disambiguation to help train language models on the intricacies of human communication. You’ll work closely with AI-generated content to analyze, annotate, and refine outputs that deal with ambiguity, syntax, semantics, idioms, pragmatics, and linguistic variation.

This role is perfect for professionals with a background in linguistics, NLP, semantics, or discourse analysis who understand how meaning changes based on structure, context, or cultural interpretation. You’ll be helping AI systems resolve ambiguity (e.g., “The chicken is ready to eat”), identify parts of speech, and improve language understanding across a wide range of use cases from machine translation and summarization to Q&A and conversational agents.

Responsibilities

  • Annotate text samples for semantic ambiguity, syntactic structure, morphological patterns, and discourse intent.
  • Identify instances of lexical ambiguity, polysemy, anaphora, idiomatic language, or sarcasm.
  • Label data to train models on word sense disambiguation (WSD), context-aware reasoning, and tone shifts.
  • Evaluate the AI’s understanding of formality, register, implicature, and contextual cues.
  • Analyze how models interpret modifiers, scope, negation, and embedded clauses.
  • Assist in creating structured prompts to test model understanding of linguistic principles.
  • Provide clear explanations and rationales for why certain interpretations or structures are (in)correct.
  • Help models distinguish between homonyms, synonyms, false friends, and paraphrased expressions.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in Advanced AI Data Trainer Mastery from AIDRALabs (Required).
  • Deep knowledge of semantic roles, syntax trees, morphosyntactic alignment, and discourse analysis.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English at C1/C2 level or native.
  • Familiarity with language modeling or NLP tasks is preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable working with annotation guidelines and remote task tools.
  • Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), translation studies, voice assistants, or language education.
  • Exposure to platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Google Bard, or DeepL.
  • Knowledge of linguistic typology and comparative grammar across multiple languages.
  • Prior work with annotation platforms or linguistic datasets is a bonus.
